CenterPoint is a church that passionately point people to purse Christ centered-lives. They minister in Eatonville, WA and around the world. In collaboration with the leadership team, I worked to design and draw a community outreach facility called “The Shop”. The project involved drafting, design, consultant coordination, design of interior, and graphics throughout. Their youth group, Celebrate Recovery program, and week day events take place here.

The Process
The CenterPoint Shop building started out by drawing many iterations to get the layout that would work best for the use of the building. Those drawing iterations were then able to be shown to leaders in the church who would be the primary users of the space. We gathered feedback from them, and adjusted the floor plan accordingly. I assisted with the user feedback, but also making sure that the floor plan met requirements of the local/international building code.
Once we had a design that met the needs, we developed a set of drawings and coordinated with structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical engineers to get the design permitted.
I assisted with the design of the interior, selecting, finishes, and creating branded graphics for the space, along with creating the architectural drawing set.
Once the building was under construction, I made many site visits to answer any questions and make design decisions that arose through the construction process.
